For those currently working as a Retail Officer or those wishing to begin working as a Retail Officer. On successful completion of the course, and passing the required examinations, delegates will be able to apply for an SIA licence to work as a Retail Officer.
There are none, however basic levels of English literacy and numeracy are assumed.
4 Days / 30 hours learning.
In order to apply for an SIA licence, delegates must complete and pass both units as outlined below and if successful will achieve a Level 2 Award in Retail Guarding.
UNIT 1 - Basic Job Training: Knowledge based training and assessment (22 ½ hours)
Aim:- To ensure that security guards have an understanding of the roles and responsibilities required within their job profile.

Assessment:- 1 hour exam covering Unit 1 content
UNIT 2 - Conflict Management: Practical scenario based training and assessment (7½ hours)
Aim:- To ensure that security guards have the appropriate communication skills and knowledge of conflict management.

Assessment:- 1 hour exam covering Unit 2 content |
